Earth . Food . Love

Nicola and Richard Eckersley of EARTH.FOOD.LOVE came to us in the Autumn of 2016 with a brilliant idea - to open the UK's only Zero Waste Shop in Totnes.  A young couple with strong ideals and a lot of energy (Willow - the third member of their team was only about 6 months old). We were immediately struck by what an excellent concept it was, how well matched it was to the local ethos and how they had the enthusiasm and clarity to make it a resounding success.

So, we said a big YES and set to work on the brief.  The brief being:
• to include triangles!
• simplicity and clarity
• a brand that was professional and friendly
• current and artisan
• a reflection of the ethos of zero waste living
Nicola and Richard also gave us some direction on fonts and colours they liked. It was easy to match our skills and ideas to their vision and once we had the main logo and fonts and colours the rest flowed.

We are lucky to have Sara Nunan in our team and we commissioned her illustration skills to create some very individual icons for the simple steps to shopping zero waste at Earth.Food.Love.  So the brand was further enhanced and embedded.

Since the building blocks of Earth.Food.Love - The Zero Waste Shop's brand have been put in place we have had a lot of fun coming up with adverts, that include illustrations from Sara, about the key message of the Zero Waste movement. Working on ideas from Richard and Nicola's strong creative imaginations such as - 'OUR TRASH - THEIR HOME' 'NO MORE LANDFILL, NO MORE RECYCLING, NO MORE PACKAGING' 'ANY CONTAINER CAN BE WEIGHED - ANY CONTAINER CAN BE USED - well almost!'
